Deep groove ball bearing is the most widely used rolling bearing. It is featured by small friction resistance, high speed, can be used to bear radial load or radial and axial simultaneous action of the combined load on the machine parts, can also be used to bear axial load on the machine parts, such as small power motors, automobile and tractor transmission, machine tool gearbox, general machines, tools, etc.
Deep groove ball bearing consists of an outer ring, an inner ring, a set of steel balls and a set of cages. There are two types of deep groove ball bearings: single row and double row. Deep groove ball structures are also divided into sealed and open structures. Open type means that the bearing does not have a sealed structure. Sealed deep groove ball bearings are further categorized into into dust-proof and oil-proof types. The dust-proof sealing seal, made of stamped steel plate, simply prevents dust from entering the bearing raceway. In contrast, the oil-proof type uses a contact oil seal to prevent the escape of grease and oil from bearing.

Single row deep groove ball bearings have deep groove raceways on both the inner and outer rings. The deep groove raceway and the excellent tightness between the raceway and the steel ball enable this type of bearing to withstand a certain two-way axial load while bearing radial load. When the radial clearance of the bearing is appropriately increased, the ability to withstand axial loads is increased. Therefore, it can sometimes be used to replace high-speed angular contact ball bearings.
Double row deep groove ball bearings correspond to single row deep groove ball bearings in design. They feature uninterrupted deep raceways and a high degree of consistency between balls and raceways. In addition to being able to withstand radial loads, they can also handle axial loads coming in both directions. Double row deep groove ball bearings are ideally suited for bearing arrangements where the load carrying capacity of single row bearings is insufficient. For the same bore and outer diameter, double-row bearings are slightly wider than the single-row bearings in the 62 and 63 series, but have a much higher load capacity. They are only available as open bearings (without seals).
