Cylindrical roller bearings consist of cylindrical rollers and the raceways in linear contact. They have a high load-carrying capacity, primarily bearing radial loads.The friction between the rolling element and the ring flange is minimal, making it suitable for high-speed rotation. Depending on whether the ring has flanges, they are single-row cylindrical roller bearings such as NU, NJ, NUP, N, and NF, and double-row cylindrical roller bearings such as NNU and NN. This bearing has a separable inner ring and outer ring.
Cylindrical roller bearings without inner/outer ring flanges allow axial movement, suitable as free-end bearings. Bearings with double ribs on one side and a single flange on the other can handle unidirectional axial loads. Typically, steel plate stamped or copper alloy solid cages are used, with some utilizing polyamide molded cages.
