Spherical roller bearings

Spherical Roller Bearing Structure

Spherical roller bearings have two rows of rollers and are primarily designed to manage radial loads while also accommodating axial loads in either direction. These bearings offer considerable radial load capacity, making them particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications or environments with vibrating loads. However, they are not intended for pure axial loads.

Why We Are The Right Choice?

Small Cone Angle

Primarily handles combined radial and axial loads, with a focus on radial loads. Often used in pairs, installed in opposite directions to manage the loads effectively. The inner and outer races can be installed separately, allowing for adjustable radial and axial gaps during installation and use.

Large Cone Angle

Primarily handles combined axial and radial loads, with a focus on axial loads. Not typically used for pure axial loads alone. When installed in opposite pairs, they can bear pure radial loads.

Structural Types

Tapered roller bearings are mainly supplied in 3 types based on the number of rows of rollers.

Key Features

  • Excellent radial load capacity due to the double roller design
  • Capability to cope with axial loads in either direction
  • Self-aligning capability due to the design of spherical outer ring raceway, which also allows compensation for misalignment and shaft deflections

Inner Hole Design Variations

Spherical roller bearings come with either cylindrical or tapered inner bores. The tapered bores have taper ratios of either 1:30 or 1:12. These tapered inner bore bearings can be easily mounted on plain or stepped shafts by using adapter or withdrawal sleeves.

Spherical Roller Bearings Are Available In Several Models

  • 20000CC series: Standard spherical roller bearings
  • 20000CCK series: Spherical roller bearings with tapered bore
  • 20000CC/W33 series: Spherical roller bearings with W33 lubricating groove
  • 20000CCK/W33 series: Tapered bore spherical roller bearings with W33 lubricating groove
  • 20000CCK+H series: Spherical roller bearings mounted on adapter sleeves
  • 20000CCK/W33+H series: Spherical roller bearings with W33 groove mounted on adapter sleeves

Applications
Spherical roller bearings find their applications in multiple industries and machinery, including

  • Paper manufacturing equipment
  • Speed reduction devices
  • Railway vehicle axles
  • Rolling mill gearboxes and rollers
  • Crushers
  • Vibrating screens
  • Woodworking machinery
  • Industrial gearboxes

These bearings particularly excel in applications where high load capacity, self-alignment, and the ability to adapt to misalignment are required. Their robustness and versatility design make them a preferable choice for heavy-duty industrial equipment and machinery operating under challenging conditions.
